What is necessary for the project description (Exhibit 1)?
A clear and concise description of the proposed transportation improvements along with answers to statements (a) through (f) answered accordingly. The project description should explain why the transportation project is necessary, how the project will be implemented, and what transportation improvements are included in the scope of work.
What is necessary for the cost estimate (Exhibit 2)?
A thorough, detailed and complete estimate (including unit costs and quantities) for the total project cost of the transportation improvement project. The estimate must be current (within 1 year of application submission) and must be prepared, signed, sealed and dated by a Pennsylvania licensed engineer or other qualified professional. All the costs in the project budget must be included in the cost estimate.
What is necessary for the color-coded map (Exhibit 4)?
A detailed, color-coded design drawing/map with a color legend that shows a clear illustration of the transportation improvement project to include street names and project boundaries. When applicable, current conditions and proposed improvements should be shown.
What is necessary for the funding commitment letter(s) (Exhibit 3)?
Funding commitment letters must be provided from all other project funding sources. The commitment letters should include the dollar amount, relevant terms and conditions, and be signed and dated. All funding sources must be secured and documentation demonstrating the availability of funds should be provided.

When is the deadline for submitting an MTF application?
Complete applications must be submitted by July 31st at 5:00 pm. Applications are accepted annually between March 1 and July 31.
How is the $100 application fee paid?
The $100 application fee is paid online at time of submission by credit or debit card or electronic check.
