The Governor’s Center for Local Government Services is dedicated to providing valuable online and in-class training opportunities to enrich local government operations in PA
The Governor’s Center for Local Government Services trains local government officials through the PA Local Government Training Partnership, which is a strategic and collaborative initiative on behalf of the six major local government associations: PA State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS), PA State Association of Boroughs (PSAB), PA State Association of Township Commissioners (PSATC), County Commissioners Association of PA (CCAP), PA Municipal League (PML) and PA Municipal Authorities Association (PMAA). The courses are designed to keep municipal officials current on new laws and legislative requirements and enhance their ability to govern more effectively.
Although PCCA's primary mission is to provide training to new and current construction code officials, the courses are also open to builders, contractors, architects, engineers and municipal officials – anyone with an interest in the proper enforcement of the Uniform Construction Code (UCC).
The PCCA offers administrative, residential and commercial courses specifically tailored to the individual disciplines required for state certification. Most of the courses are designed to help prepare students for the required certification examinations and frequently incorporate practice exams along with practical information on the application of the codes.
