Income Eligibility

Income Eligibility for Individuals and Households
What we do

Applicants that qualify will receive an onsite energy audit to assess conditions in the home and to identify the most cost-effective energy saving measures to be installed. Weatherization services include but are not limited to:

  • Blower door guided air sealing to effectively locate and reduce air-leakage throughout the home
  • Installation of attic, wall, basement, and crawlspace insulation and ventilation to reduce energy loss
  • Heating system repair to increase the efficiency and/or safety of the heating system
  • Minor repairs, and/or health and safety measures are provided (when necessary) to allow the safe and effective installation of the weatherization measures
  • Client education on the proper use and maintenance of the installed weatherization measures and ways to reduce energy waste everyday

How To Determine If You Are Eligible For Weatherization Assistance
  • Applicants must be a resident of Pennsylvania to apply.
  • The applicant’s household income must meet the requirements set forth by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

Weatherization is open to those whose income is 200% or below the Federal Poverty Income Level as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. For example, a single person living alone cannot make more than $27,180 and a family of four cannot make more than $55,500. Note: A household is automatically eligible to receive weatherization assistance if an individual within the dwelling unit receives Supplemental Security Income.
