Determine Your Eligibility for Weatherization Assistance in Pennsylvania

The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) helps Pennsylvania residents lower energy costs and make their homes more comfortable and safe. To qualify for services, applicants must meet both residency and income requirements.

Who Can Apply

To be eligible for Pennsylvania’s Weatherization Assistance Program:

  • You must be a resident
  • Your household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Level, as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
  • Households automatically qualify if any member receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF), LIHEAP or are found eligible for specific means- tested Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) programs.
2026 Income Guidelines

Effective January 13, 2026, households must meet the income limits below to qualify for weatherization services.

Add $11,360 for each additional person

Example:

A single person living alone cannot earn more than $31,920 annually, and a family of four cannot earn more than $66,000 to qualify.
