Manufacturing PA Initiative
Manufacturing PA supports Pennsylvania’s manufacturing community through strategic partnerships while emphasizing job training to career pathways.
In Pennsylvania, manufacturing is in our DNA. From companies focused on medical devices and organic foods to nanomaterials and fabricated metal products, Pennsylvania has successfully applied its workforce’s skilled approach, established infrastructure, and in-state resources to modern manufacturing.
Governor Tom Wolf has created a new multifaceted initiative to enhance the growth and competitiveness of manufacturing companies in Pennsylvania. The Manufacturing PA Initiative includes DCED’s strategic partners such as the National Institutes of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP) funded Industrial Resource Centers (IRC), Pennsylvania’s colleges, universities & technical schools and non-profit organizations providing critical training and workforce development opportunities supporting the manufacturing industry and its workforce. Job training to career pathways is a primary focus of the initiative’s efforts.
The Manufacturing PA Initiative includes three new programs – learn more about each below.
