A PA Story: 2017 Edition

Work Smart. Live Happy. makes the connection between strong communities and thriving businesses, and how each supports the development and growth of the other. The Work Smart. Live Happy. A Pennsylvania Story is a collection of stories focused on three communities. In this first edition, readers will be introduced to the transformation taking place in Bethlehem, Erie, and Johnstown. These are inspiring stories of local community, business, higher education, and nonprofit leaders — and the collaborative approaches they are taking to overcome the challenges facing their communities.

Pennsylvania: The Key to Opportunity

To tell the story of Pennsylvania, we partnered with well-known PA businesses to promote a special Pennsylvania feature that encapsulates the “Work Smart. Live Happy.” message through Inc. Magazine. This magazine section highlights core economic narratives playing out across Pennsylvania — as well as Governor Wolf’s key initiatives — while taking a closer look at how the dynamic relationships between companies and their communities positively impact economic development. This piece showcases Pennsylvania’s effective government partnerships, workforce training, community development, fast-paced innovation, and more with the hope of inspiring both those already working smart and living happy in PA and those outside our borders who want to make Pennsylvania’s way of life their own.

We have close to 600 employees here and Martin is providing employment for all these people and their families; it’s a critical element of the local area and vice versa… we’re inseparable.
