Hundreds Join Wolf Administration in Erie for Cabinet in Your Community Event

Town-hall style event is the sixth in statewide series of regional initiative updates

Erie, PA – Today, Wolf Administration cabinet officials were joined by 200 people for a Cabinet in Your Community event at the Jefferson Educational Society in Erie. This was the sixth in a series of town-hall style events held across the state in which members of the community can talk with cabinet secretaries and discuss issues important to the region.

“By providing an opportunity for community residents to interact with state government officials, there is an opportunity to learn how the commonwealth can directly invest in their regions,” said Governor Tom Wolf. “We have received feedback from residents, college students, and local elected officials, which has opened a cooperative dialogue on how state government in Harrisburg can help communities across the commonwealth.”

Featuring Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin, Department of Transportation Secretary Leslie Richards, Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Patrick McDonnell, Department of Health Acting Secretary Rachel Levine, Department of Revenue Secretary Dan Hassell, and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency Director Rick Flinn, the department heads provided updates on regional projects and accomplishments and answered questions from the audience.

The next Cabinet in Your Community event is currently scheduled for February 20 in Millerstown at the Greenwood Area High School Auditorium with cabinet secretaries from the departments of Agriculture, Education, Health, Community and Economic Development, and State Police.
