Governor Wolf Announces More Than $43 Million in Funding to Support 253 Community, Business Development Projects

Harrisburg, PA – Governor Tom Wolf today announced 253 new project approvals totaling more than $43 million in funding to support business development efforts in Pennsylvania.
“The new projects announced today are important for the growth of Pennsylvania’s communities,” said Governor Wolf. “Additionally, through programs like PIPE, we are able to deploy resources to support increased business development efforts throughout the commonwealth.”
At today’s Commonwealth Financing Authority meeting, 253 projects were approved for funding under the Pipeline Investment Program, PA Small Water and Sewer, and Local Share Account:
Pipeline Investment Program (PIPE) – $1 million grant to Glenn O. Hawbecker, Inc. for the extension of a gas line to serve an existing asphalt plant off the southern side of Stevenson Road in Barkeyville Borough, Venango County.
PA Small Water and Sewer – $22,107,223 in grants to assist with 116 infrastructure projects.
Local Share Account (LSA) – Monroe County: $9,609,376 in grants to assist with 78 LSA projects that support community and economic development, and public interest projects in Monroe County and five contiguous counties to include Carbon, Lackawanna, Northampton, Pike, and Wayne.
Local Share Account (LSA) – Luzerne County: $11,032,660 in grants to support 58 LSA projects spurring economic development, community improvement and public interest projects in Luzerne County.
