ADVISORY – HARRISBURG – MONDAY – Wolf Administration to Screen Documentary to Inspire Entrepreneurs and Discuss Small Business Issues in Pennsylvania
Harrisburg, PA – On Monday, the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and PA Commission for Women will co-host a free film screening and panel discussion of the groundbreaking documentary Dream, Girl at the Pennsylvania State Museum in Harrisburg. Dream, Girl chronicles a diverse group of women as they share their experiences of what it means to be a female entrepreneur today, and how strong leadership is needed to set an example for girls dreaming big everywhere.
After the screening, guests are encouraged to participate in an engaging panel discussion that will explore starting and growing a Pennsylvania business, women in leadership, the economic power of women, and the business resources available to help you achieve your own dream here in the Keystone State.
The panel moderator will be Carol Kilko, Deputy Secretary for Business Financing, PA Department of Community & Economic Development. Panelists include Sharon Ryan, CEO, Dasher; Patti Stirk, Entrepreneur and Commissioner, PA Commission for Women; Amma Johnson, Founder, AMMA JO BRAND; and Melissa N. Stone, Vice President of Economic Development, Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC.
The event will be held as part of Pennsylvania Small Business Week running from April 29-May 5, 2018. The event is free and open to the public.
