NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PENNSYLVANIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCING AUTHORITY WITH RESPECT TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $54,000,000 OF PENNSYLVANIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FINANCING AUTHORITY SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL REFUNDING REVENUE BONDS (WASTE MANAGEMENT, INC. PROJECT) SERIES 2021B
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, a public hearing, as required by Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), will be held by the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority (the “Authority”) with respect to the proposed issuance by the Authority of its tax-exempt Solid Waste Disposal Refunding Revenue Bonds (Waste Management, Inc. Project), Series 2021B (the “Bonds”), in one or more series, pursuant to a plan of finance, in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $54,000,000. The hearing will commence at 11:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, and will be held by teleconference (Toll Free Dial-in Number: 1-888-857-7121; Passcode: 202-661-2281).
The Bonds are expected to be issued pursuant to Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Law and the proceeds from the sale of the Bonds will be loaned to Waste Management, Inc. (the “Borrower”) and used to current refund all of the outstanding Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority Solid Waste Disposal Revenue Bonds (Waste Management, Inc. Project), Series 2004A, originally issued by the Authority in the aggregate principal amount of $54,000,000 (the “2004A Bonds”). Proceeds of the 2004A Bonds were applied to finance all or a portion of the cost of the acquisition, construction, improving, installation, and/or equipping of certain solid waste disposal facilities (together, the “Projects”), owned and/or operated by the Borrower or an affiliate of the Borrower, at the locations set forth below:

The Bonds will be special limited obligations of the Authority payable only from the loan repayments to be made by the Borrower to the Authority and certain funds and accounts established by the bond indenture for the Bonds.
The public is invited to attend the hearing in the manner set forth above and all persons in attendance will be given the opportunity to be heard.
