The intent of the program is to keep front-line employees working in sectors that are vital to every Pennsylvanian’s existence and to help employers retain their current front-line employees. The eligible industries for this program were included after consultation with the general assembly, Department of Health and the Department of Labor & Industry and in line with the guidance from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration that outlines Worker Exposure Risk to COVID.

1 FTE is equal to an employee that works 40 hours a week. For part-time employees that work less than 40 hours a week, you’ll need to determine how many hours will be worked over the 10-week period and divide by 400 to determine the FTE number. For example, 2 employees that each work 20 hours a week would be equal to 1 FTE.
