Fire Insurance Escrow List

It is important to note that if your municipality has adopted a fire insurance escrow ordinance and has not filed it with the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services, insurers do not have to escrow funds for fire losses. To ensure your municipality is registered on the Act 93 Fire Escrow list, check the register below.

Act 93 of 1994 amended the original fire insurance escrow law that was adopted in 1992. The amendment requires that municipalities file a copy of all ordinances adopted under Act 93 as amended with the Governor’s Center for Local Government Services.
